We help people do their best work.
Built on relationships since 2011.
Station is a creative studio working at the intersection of vision, culture, and communication. We partner with purpose-driven organizations to define where they are going, align their teams, and build the systems, experiences, and narratives that move them forward.
We're not a typical agency. We don't take on work we don't believe in, and we don't operate at arm's length. We get close to the work and the people behind it — because that's where the best work comes from.
Every engagement starts the same way: we listen. We conduct one-on-one conversations with the people closest to the work, ask questions that don't always have easy answers, and take the time to understand not just what an organization does but who the people are that do it.
We bring that same spirit to every working session — sharing ideas, references, and perspectives that aren't always directly related to the brief, because we've found that the best creative relationships are built on more than the work itself.
We design with intention and build for the long term. Our goal is always to leave organizations stronger, clearer, and more capable than we found them.
How We Work
Station was founded by Amanda and Nicholas Rock. They have been collaborating as designers, strategists, and partners since the beginning — and that combination of closeness, honesty, and complementary thinking is at the heart of how Station works.
Amanda Rock
Amanda spent a decade as a molecular biologist before bringing that same precision to design strategy. She's a natural researcher — she asks the right questions, listens carefully, and has a way of making people feel genuinely understood before the real work has even begun. She tracks everything, holds the complexity, and brings a depth of empathy that makes the hardest conversations easier.
Nicholas Rock
Nick has spent 25 years working at the intersection of design, strategy, and communication. He's an Associate Professor and Director of Graduate Studies at Boston University — which means he brings both the instincts of a working designer and a genuine commitment to research and method. He's also a veteran of the U.S. Army. He leads with clarity, speaks plainly, and has spent his career helping organizations find ways to communicate things they already know but haven't been able to say.
